Effective April 13, 2020, the 33rd District Court is offering an Amnesty Program which will allow for a waiver of all default fees, late fees, show cause fees, and warrant fees pertaining to all outstanding civil infraction cases through June 1, 2020. Any defendant with an outstanding citation who pays the original amount of the outstanding ticket(s) in full by June 1, 2020, will be granted a waiver as it relates to default fees, late fees, show cause fees, and warrant fees. Please note this waiver pertains to civil infraction cases only. Also note that if the person’s license is suspended because of a failure to pay, they will still be required to pay the $45.00 clearance fee imposed by the Secretary of State before the suspension is removed.
To take advantage of this Amnesty Program, payment must be made by mail in the form of a personal check, certified check, cashier’s check, or money order. You can also pay online at 33court.com or by phone at 855-506-4600. Note, a fee applies to payments made online or by phone. Payment must be made in full – no payment plans will be granted under this offer.
In-person payments will not be accepted.
If you have questions about the amount you owe, please call the Court at 734-671-0201 during the hours of 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
